Multiple UCFB students were lucky enough to receive a talk from two of Manchester City Women’s players as part of International Women’s Day.
The students visited the National Football Museum in Manchester, where Kerstin Casparij and Julie Blakstad were giving a talk for the annual celebration.
They spoke to students about playing for the WSL giants, and the future of women’s football in England following the Lionesses’ Euro 2022 victory.

One of the students who attended was BA (Hons) Football Business and Finance student Georgia Maund.
She said about the event: “We had the opportunity to watch the talk and look around the museum.
“I found it a valuable experience to learn more about the industry and interesting to learn more about women’s football.
“The industry is becoming a lot more welcoming to women and girls, and it is important to put yourself out there because there are a lot more opportunities available.”
