A UCFB alumnus has been talking about his coaching journey from National League North to Premier League.
Daniel Alogba now works as high school partnerships officer and women’s RTC coach at Manchester United, after studying BA (Hons) Football Coaching and Management at UCFB.
Speaking about his position at the Red Devils, Daniel said: “My role entails working with Manchester United Foundation partnership schools, based in Rochdale.
“My weekly role involves mentoring and supporting our young students and putting interventions in place to support them with physical activity, wellbeing or mindfulness.
“My evenings are spent at our girls’ academy. That’s two nights a week and we play on Saturday mornings.”
He added: “I think working at Manchester United gives me lots of pressure, but good pressure which enables me to get the best out of myself.”
When asked about his industry experience during his time at UCFB, he said: “I loved my time at our partner clubs in the National League.”
During his three years at UCFB’s Manchester Campus, Daniel gained some valuable experience as a performance analyst at National League North club Curzon Ashton.
Daniel has also had coaching experience at Foundation 92, Manchester United Foundation, Clitheroe FC, Everton in the Community and Liverpool FC International Academy America.
“I loved my time at UCFB,” he said. “I loved the tutors that I worked with and I still work with.
“They have helped me along my journey so far which has been really good.”
