Course Leader MSc International Sport Management and MSc Football Communications and Digital Marketing

Jane Abbey is an experienced educator and sport industry professional with a rich background in both high-performance sport and sport management. A former England Korfball and high level netball player, she also brings coaching expertise at the regional level. With 14 years of experience managing and developing leisure centers across the UK, Jane brings real-world industry insight into her teaching.

She holds a professional MBA from the University of Birmingham, and her academic interests include female sport, strategy, leadership & culture, coaching expertise and research. Jane has spent over 20 years teaching in higher education and is currently working towards the highest netball coaching qualification in the UK.
