UCFB and International Sports Convention announce new partnership to launch professional network booster for International Sports Management students

The University Campus of Football Business (UCFB) is excited to announce a dynamic new partnership with the International Sports Convention (ISC) to offer an  bespoke Professional Network Booster for MSc International Sports Management (ISM) students. This innovative booster, designed to enhance professional connections and industry insights, will be available to all students enrolling in the MSc International Sports Management course from January 2025*.

The ISC Professional Network Booster has been chosen specifically to complement the academic content of UCFB’s ISM course, offering postgraduate students invaluable opportunities to network with, and learn from, top leaders in the global sports industry. This will provide enhanced access to ISC’s vast network of sports executives, event leaders, and influencers across various sectors within the industry.

The ISC Professional Network Booster includes the following for each participant:

  • Full access to the International Sports Convention 2025 – March 19-20 at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London.
  • ISC HR + Leadership Half Day seminar
  • Full access to ISC Women’s Sport Business Summit
  • Access to ISC Academy – online courses in the Business of Sport
  • 20 online live lectures from Industry Professionals
  • ISC certificate outlining what each participant has completed and signed by ISC Management

“This partnership with ISC is a significant step forward in enriching the learning experience for our students,” said Jane Abbey, International Sports Management Course Leader at UCFB. “At UCFB, we are committed to providing our students with the tools and connections they need to excel in their careers, and the ISC Professional Network Booster aligns perfectly with that mission.”

The International Sports Convention is renowned for its global reach and influence in the sports business industry. The collaboration between ISC and UCFB reflects a shared commitment to bridging the gap between education and professional development within the sports industry.

“We are excited to work closely with UCFB to provide this next-generation network booster to ISM students,” added Nigel Fletcher, Chief Executive at ISC. “Our goal is to help develop the future leaders of sports management by offering them direct access to the people shaping the future of sports business.”

The Professional Network Booster will be offered in conjunction with the start of the January 2025 intake for the MSc International Sports Management* course at UCFB.

UCFB’s MSc International Sport Management degree provides an unparalleled educational and experiential opportunity for aspiring sports leaders. This pioneering course has been developed as a transformational journey suited for graduates of all disciplines, as well as for current professionals working within various sectors of the sport industry, for example in management, marketing or operations. This degree can be studied in one year as a full-time student or two years as a part-time student at our Wembley Stadium campus, providing a suitable study environment to fit around your existing career.

Sarah Levy works as an academy player care manager at the Premier League, and graduated last year with a Master’s in MSc International Sport Management from UCFB. “During my course,” she said, “I came across a number of modules I would have never come across, which now I take a lot of into my day-to-day work. Like marketing and communications. Yes, we have a department at the Premier League that does that, but actually being able to have an insight into that is something I wouldn’t have been able to do before.”

She added: “I did my degree part time, so it was great to still be immersed in full-time work and apply that to discussions in the classroom and what we were studying.

“UCFB was a really good place for me to be able to bring new ideas and new perspectives to a lot of the work that I was doing.”
