UCFB is delighted to be named as the official education partner of APEX Cricket Festival, a partnership which offers our students a range of quality sports industry experiences alongside their UCFB studies.
The 2025 summertime festival saw UCFB students attend and gain work experience, learning plenty about different fields in the cricket industry.
Across the four days in Somerset, ten students took part in such roles as content creation, team liaison and festival media.
Following the success of the initial opportunity at the inaugural festival, UCFB and APEX can announce a partnership between the two organisations for three years.
Across this period, APEX is planning to host more cricket festivals, both in the UK and abroad, with plenty more opportunities for students to gain invaluable experience.
Students will be able to work alongside industry experts as part of APEX’s content team or as team leaders, responsible for looking after teams during the festivals.
Max Rusling, co-founder of APEX Cricket, said: “The APEX team and I are delighted to announce UCFB as our official higher education partners.
“We were so impressed with the calibre of their students at our inaugural APEX Cricket Festival in 2025, who showed outstanding professionalism and creativity throughout.
“This partnership will unlock even more hands-on opportunities across events and media, as well as the business of sport, creating real pathways for the country’s emerging talent.
“We can’t wait to build on that momentum together and deliver even bigger and better festivals in the years ahead.”
Our partnerships are key to life at UCFB, as they provide students studying sports media, business, coaching or any industry-related field the chance to gain experience on top of their degree course. Find out more about our industry partners and what they provide to our students.
