UCFB ended 2024 in superb style, with students from both campuses meeting up in Northamptonshire for an industry insight day at the iconic Silverstone.
Students from UCFB Wembley and UCFB Manchester arrived at the Home of the British Grand Prix, ready for a day of learning all about the motor racing industry and potential careers within it.
The day began with the students listening to and networking with multiple people working in the motor racing industry, including UCFB graduate Jamie Glatzel, now working as a graphics assistant at Formula 1.
The session including a Q&A, where students were able to ask how their UCFB degree could help them earn careers in such fields as media, marketing or business within motor racing.
Much was spoke about how the sport and industry continues to grow, particularly in the case of career opportunities.
This was then followed by the amazing experience of heading outside and seeing the iconic racetrack, where test runs were being performed on the day.
The afternoon was then spent walking around the Silverstone Museum, where our students got to learn much about the history of motor racing, as well as the track itself.
From the foundations of the venue at RAF Silverstone to a hall of legendary cars and bikes to have graced the track.
The museum tour ended with an interactive experience for the students, taking part in a driving simulator around a virtual reality copy of Silverstone, as well as a Scalextric racing competition.
