Hospitality Sales Manager at West Bromwich Albion
Ben Leanse is one of UCFB’s graduates using the skills and knowledge from his degree in the English Football League (EFL), as Hospitality Sales Manager at West Bromwich Albion.
Ben studied BA (Hons) Sports Business and Sports Law at UCFB, a course which Ben says has equipped him with plenty of transferable skills for both his role at the Hawthorns, as well as a previous position as Brentford FC’s Premium Services Executive.
His role at Brentford involved looking after the hospitality section of the club, such as selling premium tickets for matchdays.
He named skills such as organisational qualities and meeting deadlines, which were transferable from his degree studies at UCFB to his role at Brentford.
He went on to praise the course he studied, saying that it covered the whole sports industry, focusing on both the business and law aspects.
Ben also said that being based at the iconic Wembley Stadium helped him visualise where he wanted to be in his career.
He said: “The best thing about working in sport is the matchdays, without a doubt. You cannot beat the atmosphere and the buzz of the stadium on a matchday and seeing all your hard work and preparation come together.”
