We’ve simplified your journey into clear steps so you always know what to do next.
We strongly recommend that you submit your online application before the Priority Application Deadlines to allow sufficient time for your application to be assessed and enrolment to be completed in time for the beginning of your studies.
- 13th July: Deadline for Scholarship Applications (You must have already applied and accepted an offer on your course before applying for a scholarship)
- 1st September: Priority Application Deadline
- 21st September: Welcome Week
- 28th September: Teaching commences

Your Course Experience
What to Expect from Your Course
Your postgraduate experience is designed to challenge you, develop your expertise, and prepare you for your future career.
- Full-time students: typically 2 days of lectures per week (Mondays and Tuesday)
- Part-time students: typically 1 day of lectures per week (Monay or Tuesday)
- Independent study and research – For full time Course 30-35 hours per week and for part time 20-25 hours per week
- Group collaboration/Individual study time
- Career-focused activities usually on Wednesdays with the Employability and Careers Planning team

Plan Your Journey
Fees, Funding and Scholarships
It’s important to start planning your finances early so you can begin your studies with confidence.
You are able to apply for Postgraduate Master’s Loan to fund your studies in the UK.
For applicants based in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland, please link to the Fees and Funding page for further information.
Top Tip: Apply for student finance early for peace of mind. Applications are now open, and you do not need to wait until you have accepted your offer. Your funding will only be released once you enrol, and you can still defer or cancel if your plans change.
Flexible payment plans are available to help students manage their fees:
- Full-time students: pay in 3 instalments across the year
- Part-time students: pay in 6 instalments over 2 years
Scholarship deadline: 13 July
We offer a range of scholarships to support your studies. Applicants should check their eligibility and apply as early as possible.

Top Tip: Don’t rule yourself out. Many students hesitate to apply for scholarships because they assume they won’t be successful. We encourage everyone who is eligible to apply — you could receive valuable financial support.

Enrolment Information
Enrolment is an important part of your student journey with us. The enrolment team is here to help you through the process and provide support wherever you need it. We strongly recommend that you complete enrolment as soon as possible, to allow you to focus on your studies.
Enrolment with UCFB consists of 2 parts. It is completely online and involves you providing up-to-date information for your student record.
