UCFB graduate Anil Kandola has been offering his top tips for securing a role in the sports media industry.
Anil graduated from UCFB Manchester with a degree in BA (Hons) Multimedia Sports Journalism, and now works as a sports journalist at talkSPORT.

He offered his top pieces of advice and guidance for UCFB students wanting to pursue a career within sports media.
Make sure you make as many contacts as you can, because you never know which individuals you might bump into along the way.
Whether that be start your own podcast, write articles on football games or whatever you enjoy, make as many skills as available as you can when it comes to different job roles.
Last, but certainly not least. You’ll be doing things and having opportunities that you would only have dreamt of a few years ago. So make sure you make the most of it and I will see you in the industry.
