As part on the continuing partnership between UCFB and London-based Bloomsbury Football, our Wembley Campus football sides recently took part in a tournament alongside the organisation.
Bloomsbury Football is a grassroots football charity in London, working with more than 5,000 young people per week from 18 months to 18 years.
“Everyone is welcome,” Bloomsbury Football says, “regardless of ability to pay or play.”
UCFB has plenty of graduates who have gone on to have successful sports industry careers at Bloomsbury Football, including:
Within the partnership, those at Bloomsbury Football are offered exclusive insight into studying a football or sports industry-related degree course at university.
This May, UCFB and Bloomsbury Football also launched the Social Mobility and Inclusion Scholarship for the 2024-25 academic year.
As the partnership between UCFB and Bloomsbury continues, the organisation’s U18s girls and U21s mens sides faced UCFB Wembley’s academy teams at Silver Jubilee Park.
UCFB Women defeated the U18s girls team at Bloomsbury 3-0, with two quickfire goals before half time, before securing the victory in the second half.
Meanwhile, the UCFB Men’s Academy team won 4-1 against Bloomsbury Men’s U21s, scoring all four goals in the first half.
