Lecturer in BA (Hons) Sports Business & Coaching
David is currently working towards a PhD in coach education with Anglia Ruskin University specifically focusing on the role of the educator on coach learning. This research is a longitudinal study following the journey of trainee coach educators within a sport governing body with the aim being to gain insight into the typical biographies and behaviours of educators to better understand whether they are being prepared adequately to improve coach learning. This work aligns with his current role as a coach education tutor for England Athletics.
Prior to working at UCFB, David gained extensive experience in further and higher education and within the sports industry, including at elite level in football and netball as a performance analyst. David has a keen interest in many sports and still actively coaches and competes in athletics and triathlon.
