Lecturer in Research Methods
Dr Mahon-Daly has 25 years’ experience of teaching in Higher Education and Academia and has taught a whole range of social sciences and research methods for many years with experience of teaching a very wide range of students, and at all academic and foundation levels. She was awarded Senior Fellowship of the Higher Education for advanced expertise in pedagogy and was awarded her Doctorate from Brunel University for her research into citizenship, risk and the body in Blood Donation. She regularly presents at national conferences and is research active.
Dr Mahon-Daly has experience in supporting and Supervising Doctoral Students and those students undertaking Professional Doctorates.
Dr Mahon-Daly is a fully qualified and active personal trainer who has a long standing interest in health and fitness, and brings an innovative approach to research in sport and fitness, by joining together her passions for both academia and teaching excellence to the study of sport and fitness.
She has worked with the key providers in Personal training and she is a qualified boxing coach, spinning instructor and is a nutrition coach.

Dr Mahon-Daly has a large external network and contacts as a result of her long-standing experience in Higher Education, and these influence her teaching and employability focus. She has worked with major leisure industry providers to embed occupational standards into academic programmes.
