UCFB and GIS are delighted to share initial information about the 2023 Global Sports Summits, in which students, staff and alumni have the exclusive chance to immerse themselves in the global sports industry, hear from leading experts in the sector and build a holistic knowledge of what working in sport entails.

Our annual Sports Summits take place at our campus in Miami, and each of our Global Hubs in New York, Toronto, Melbourne/Sydney and Atlanta.

Taking place at GIS Inter Miami Campus, located at DRV PNK Stadium, home of David Beckham’s MLS Club Inter Miami CF, the summit gives you the chance to meet the decision-makers at the biggest sports organisations, see behind-the-scenes at elite sports venues, and gain contacts that could propel your future career!

New York

When: April 1st – 16th  (exact dates tbc)

Home to popular MLS team New York Red Bulls, this global hub provides exclusive access to one of the great sports cities. The Summit also offers a unique opportunity to network with and learn from the revolutionary, multi-national Red Bull football brand, pioneers in 21st century sport, as well as tailored talks and extensive networking opportunities.

When: June – September 2023 (exact dates tbc)

Where: BMO Field

Our Canadian Summit is based at the home of former MLS champions Toronto FC, BMO Field. The stadium is owned by Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE), enabling UCFB and GIS students to gain inside knowledge from the unique business that runs the venue, a world-leading organisation in sports technology. The summit also provides those in attendance with access to MLSE's stunning Scotiabank Arena, home of the NBA's Toronto Raptors and the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs.


When: July 2023 (exact dates tbc)

Where: Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG)

If Melbourne is the home of the Australian sports industry, then the MCG is undoubtedly the heart of it. This iconic venue is the largest stadium in the Southern Hemisphere, boasting a capacity of over 100,000 people. It’s home to AFL, cricket, tennis, soccer, rugby and basketball and is the scene of some of Australia’s most defining sporting moments. The Summit will also explore the sports scene in Sydney, covering the nation’s two most well-renowned cities.

The GIS Atlanta Summit dates are yet to be confirmed, but it’s likely to take place in September next year.
