UCFB is delighted to announce the launch of our partnership with Bloomsbury Football, which will aim to create further opportunities for young people within the sports industry.

Bloomsbury Football is a London-based grassroots football charity, working with more than 5,000 young people each week between the ages of 18 months and 18 years in the capital.

No child is turned away due to finances, ability to play or any other criteria, as Bloomsbury Football aim to grow the game across communities throughout London.

The partnership between the two organisations will not only benefit the children playing at Bloomsbury Football, but also students at UCFB.

There will be plenty of opportunities for UCFB students to get involved in various departments at Bloomsbury Football, including coaching, business and media.

This experience will help our students greatly as they forge future careers in their chosen sector of the sports industry.

UCFB will also deliver webinars and seminars to Bloomsbury Football players, showing the accessible higher education opportunities tailored to the sports industry.

Bloomsbury Football will also be visiting our Wembley Campus on events including open days and careers in sport sessions.

The players will also be invited to our Wembley Campus Premier Events, where they will be able to network with professionals and executives from across the sports industry.

With both organisations keen to promote equal opportunities and diversity across the sports industry, students will also be able to gain roles at the Girls Super League.

Female participation at Bloomsbury Football and the Girls Super League has increased 120 per cent in the last 12 months, with the girls academy teams led predominantly by female coaches.

Charlie Hyman, founder and CEO of Bloomsbury Football, said: “We are thrilled to partner with UCFB, an academic institution that is leading the way in the sports industry.

“Professional, passionate and motivated individuals are at the heart of Bloomsbury Football's work using the power of football to change lives.

“Through this collaboration with UCFB, we are excited to create opportunities for students and our players and continue supporting young people across London.”
