With the new academic year upon us, we’re taking a look at some of the best pubs and bars for students to enjoy in London!

Home of UCFB’s iconic Wembley Campus, and with the world’s highest student population, London is no stranger to student-friendly pubs and bars.

From Camden to Soho and the West End to Covent Garden, many places cater for the thousands of students who flock to the capital every September.

We are taking a look at 10 of the best bars and pubs across London for students:

Salsa

A Mexican bar in Soho with a very popular happy hour with students, who come for the food and drink, cocktails, and dancing until 2am.

They even do evening salsa classes for those wanting to try something new – what’s not to love!

Four Quarters

London’s first ever arcade bar, this quirky pub caters for those looking for something different to either classic pub or classic club.

With arcade games to go with the cocktails and beers, this venue has proven very popular with students.

Cargo Events

For those who love the outdoors and inside, Cargo in Shoreditch has a terrace garden with burgers and DJs to enjoy throughout the day.

When the sun goes down, head on inside for all-night dancing until 6am!

Ruby Blue

Looking over one of London’s most famous areas, this bar hangs over Leicester Square, allowing visitors to do some celebrity spotting while out grabbing a drink.

With happy hour cocktails and situated right in the West End, this bar proves ever so popular among the city’s student population.

Havana

This tropical-themed bar is also frequented by students at its regular happy hour, with retro games on offer alongside their array of cocktails.

Ballie Ballerson

A place for your inner child. Two giant ball pits with over one million balls, cocktails and pizza, and entry at £5.

We don’t feel anything else has to be said about this relaxing and one-of-a-kind bar.

Rumba

This underground bar is famous for its cheap drinks and pop music attracting students from across London.

With a comedy club upstairs, why not try their open mic nights and win free entry to the club downstairs?

Thirst

Another venue with a happy hour (or as they refer to it, a stupid hour) with a basement housing a DJ playing songs until the early hours, students flock to this Soho bar each night.

Perfect for both the easy-going students and the late night party animals, this venue caters for all students wanting a time out in London.

Tequila Mockingbird

With three floors with three different atmospheres on each level, students keep coming back to this venue for a different night out each time.

With stone-baked pizzas by the river and tunes into the morning, students can’t keep clear of this bar.

Simmons

Not too far from Camden High Street is this venue, famed for catering to all who attend, whether it be to talk, drink or dance for hours.

With its vintage charm attracting students for years now, it is sure to do the same this coming year.
