UCFB is delighted to announce a partnership with Premier Sports Network, the events and intelligence provider for an invite-only community of leading sport executives.

The partnership will see UCFB students join the Premier Sports Network delivery team at events across 2017, where they will be able to experience the mechanics of putting on a B2B sport event, given the chance to learn from industry experts and offered the opportunity to meet major rights-holders, governing bodies and suppliers.

Premier Sports Network Player Care events in 2017 consist of seminars in Manchester and London, the Academy Transition Programme in September and the Fan Experience Seminar in December.

At Player Care Manchester, set to take place in May, professionals from the player support network will meet to discuss a number of current challenges facing professional athletes and their UK advisors. Topics include safeguarding from abuse, social media management, player security and working with relatives.

Confirmed speakers for the event include senior members of welfare and technical staff from leading clubs and organisations including The Football Association, Everton FC and QPR.

Spencer Hidge, Executive Director of the Premier Sports Network, said: “UCFB is educating the next generation of sport executives, so by having UCFB students join us we will be able to give them hands-on work experience, a taste of life within the industry, and the opportunity to meet leading sport executives who can support them in their career journeys.”

Danny Stroud, Complementary Curriculum and Employability Manager at UCFB added: “This partnership will allow our students to gain an insight into preparing and delivering a large scale conference event to high profile sport delegates. The relationship will kick-start with students gaining real life opportunities at the Premier Sports Network Player Care Conference in Manchester. Here at UCFB, the Complementary Curriculum and Employability Team are actively aiming to grow our portfolio of relationships such as this, and we are extremely happy to be working closely with an organisation such as Premier Sports Network for the benefit of our fantastic students.”
