UCFB is delighted to launch a partnership with Access Sport College, which will see many more young people across the country offered pathways into the sports industry.

Access Sport College, originally established in 2006, pride themselves on ‘creating innovative sporting minds, to inspire lifelong participation and careers within the sports, media, events and public sector industries.’

We recently invited Access Sport College, along with some students, to our new and expanded Manchester Campus to learn about UCFB and what we provide to allow people to pursue sports industry careers.

While there, they met Colm Griffiths, assistant head of academics and course leader for Multimedia Sport Journalism.

Colm said: “The partnership between Access Sport College and UCFB brings together two like-minded organisations who both have a real passion for sport.

“Anything we can do to enhance opportunities for students within Access Sport, the better it is for the industry.”

Sam Dunn, UCFB’s senior regional recruitment manager, said: “There are more than 100,000 graduate-level jobs in the sports industry alone.

“These range from business to media to coaching roles. UCFB support all these different pathways.

“Whether you want to be an executive, whether you want to be a coach, whether you want to go into sports psychology or even be a journalist, UCFB have these programmes available and are there to support your future aspirations.”
