What to expect on the day

As well as being able to look around the state-of-the-art facilities you’ll use during your time with us, a number of academic and UCFB staff will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

They include:

Academic – find out more about your preferred degree programme and who’ll be leading it;

Admissions – our team will be able to explain to you the entry procedure for each degree programme, such as the grades required;

Student Finance – ask questions about student finance, loans and how to fund your degree;

Students’ Union – find out more about the fun and varied activities our SU organise for students each year, including Freshers’ Week;

Learning Support - the team are here to discuss any learning support needs, emotional support, health and well-being, as well as general advice and guidance.

Sport – a number of sports teams are available to join at UCFB. Just ask what is running and how you can join;

Accommodation – discover our chosen accommodation partners in each city. We’ll have plenty of information at the Open Day; however, you can also plan to visit the accommodation on the day;

Scholarships and Bursaries – we offer a number of initiatives to help fund your studies, find out more about these from our team;

Employability & Career Planning– see how our unique model for learning is put into action. Discover what recent exciting opportunities our current students have been able to access;

Future Students Team – talk to our dedicated team about all aspects of your application to UCFB.

In the event of this open day being cancelled due to a change in government guidelines, we may need to amend the schedule of the day, postpone or cancel the event. Please be aware that this change could happen at short notice, however you will be notified in advance of any such change. UCFB will not be responsible for any costs incurred in your booking, including travel and accommodation.

Facilities tour

The Open Day takes place in our state-of-the-art teaching facilities, within Arch View House.

Subject to availability on the day, the Open Day also includes the chance to tour our learning facilities, within the stadium, so you’ll have the experience of what it is like to study in our inspiring venues.

Accommodation

There will also be the chance to look around our partner’s halls of residence on the day. Simply visit before or after your chosen Open Day slot to see the types of rooms available, as well as the great living facilities on offer.

Unite Students Arch View House on First Way is our accommodation provider.

What time do I need to be there?

Our morning sessions start at 9.30 and our afternoon session start at 2.

Can I attend more than one degree talk?

Yes, our degree talks are repeated twice.

What should I do if I can’t attend any of the Open Day dates listed on the website?

If you cannot attend any of the Open Day dates currently listed on our website, then don’t worry as we hold Open Days on a regular basis throughout the year. Please keep an eye on our website over the coming months for further dates. Otherwise, if you would like to arrange a one to one visit with one of our Future Students team at either of our campuses, then please contact us.

Will I be there all day?

No, you will not need to be there all day. The UCFB Open Days will run at the following times:

Morning session: 9.30am – 1pm

Afternoon session: 2pm – 5.30pm

Where do I register on the day?

For events in Wembley Stadium, please use B2 Club Wembley Reception, Wembley Stadium.

For events in Arch View House, please arrive at Arch View house Reception.

In the event that we need to alter arrival time and/or use a different entrance, we will notify you in advance.

Can you give me directions please?

You will find the directions to your chosen event attached within your confirmation email.

Is there parking available?

If you are planning on travelling to the Open Day by car, please note Wembley Car Parks are privately owned and therefore parking is offered at an additional charge per hour:

For events at both Wembley Stadium and Arch View House, please follow signs for the Red or Pink Car Park adjacent to the Stadium. 

How do I get there on public transport?

For events at Arch View House, please use the following address:

Access from Wembley Park station

As you approach Wembley Stadium along Olympic Way, remain at street level and walk under the pedestrian walkway. Straight in front of you is the Club Wembley main entrance.

Access from Wembley Stadium and Wembley Central stations

From Wembley Central, turn right out of the station and walk down the High Road. Turn left at the triangle, towards Wembley Stadium station. Cross White Horse Bridge and turn left onto Wembley Park Boulevard, and follow the path in front of the London Designer Outlet. Once you reach Wembley Arena on your left, turn right and walk under the pedestrian walk way. The Club Wembley main entrance is at the top of this road.

How many guests can I bring?

What to do if you are a member of staff at a school or college and would like to bring your students to visit the campus?

Due to there being a limited number of places available on our Open Days we cannot host schools or college visits on these days, however we are more than happy to take school and college visits at other times. If you are interested in bringing students to view either of our campuses, please contact us.

What happens if the event is cancelled?
