Global Institute of Sport (GIS) and Inter Miami CF launched GIS’ first North American campus at DRV PNK Stadium this week, with the event proving a great success.  

The exclusive event was attended by a host of dignitaries and industry leaders, including Jason Roberts, ex-Premier League footballer and Director of Development at CONCACAF; Mayor of Fort Lauderdale Dean Trantalis; Spencer Hidge, Founder of Premier Sports Network and representatives from the MLS, Chicago Fire, Miami Dolphins, New York Red Bulls, Toronto FC, Everton FC, Seattle Sounders and more.

This week also marks the commencement of the first intake of MSc Sports Directorship students learning on campus. The course designed to equip sports professionals with the skills to develop and deliver the long-term success of sports organisation. 

Brendan Flood, Founding Owner of Orlando City SC and GIS Chairman, said: “I am delighted that the first day of the launch of GIS Inter Miami was such a success. The event was a great chance for GIS students to embark upon their degree programmes, and for us all to reflect on this monumental partnership and what we have achieved.”
