As our Third Year students finish their studies and leave their stadium campus for the final time, many are looking back on their time at UCFB, as well as looking forward to their sports industry careers.

One of our departing students is international student Faraz Alemtar, who studied BA (Hons) International Football Business from our Wembley Campus.

Faraz, who was born in Sweden and can speak nearly seven languages, aspires to become the next best sporting/technical director in the football industry.

During his time at UCFB, Faraz took many placements alongside his studies, including:

  • Head of insights team at a football delivery firm
  • Volunteering at the International Sports Conference at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
  • A four-month internship at football transfer forum as a recruitment intern
  • Conducting stadium tours at Chelsea FC
  • Internship as an Academy Analyst at Hampton & Richmond Borough FC
  • Internship at AFC Wimbledon academy as a player development scout alongside the academy manager

His studies also excelled in the classroom, as Faraz acted as class representative for three years running.

One of his academic achievements includes winning £3,500 in a group entrepreneur project at the UCFB Sports Entrepreneurship Award.

In addition, he has also earned 27 certificates in a wide variety of football-related aspects, including scouting, recruitment, analysis and talent identification.

Faraz said: “I have enjoyed attending UCFB’s networking events a lot.

“The most recent one is Watford FC, in which I attended the industry day from UCFB and spoke to the academy technical director.”

With more placements on the way after graduating, Faraz’s career looks to be growing alongside his network after three years at UCFB.
