UCFB is delighted to have extended our female-focused scholarship in partnership with sports agency Tongue Tied Management for 2023-24. 

The aim of the scholarship is to continue the professional development of the next generation of women working within the football and wider sports industry, a proud goal of both UCFB and Tongue Tied Management CEO and GIS Global Advisory Board member Jo Tongue.

Tongue Tied Management is renowned for representing some of the top talent in sport, both on and off the pitch, in men’s and women’s sport. 

Based across the industry, the agency works as intermediaries on players’ contracts, secures sponsorship and places broadcasters across many networks. 

Top talent within women’s football agented with Tongue Tied Management include Lionesses heroes Jill Scott MBE, Leah Williamson and GIS Honorary Fellow Rachel-Brown Finnis. 

Another Lionesses icon within Tongue Tied Management is Keira Walsh, who has been almost ever-present for England throughout the 2023 Women’s World Cup. 

Other names in women’s sport and broadcasting on the agency’s books include Tracey Neville MBE, Kelly Somers and Eilidh Barbour.

The scholarship will allow the successful candidate to push their development with industry experience working within the Tongue Tied Management environment alongside their studies. 

The benefits of gaining this specific undergraduate scholarship include: 

  •       1-2 days per week internship at Tongue Tied Management in London
  •       Up to £2,000 for associated travel and accommodation costs
  •       Mentorship from Jo Tongue, the CEO of Tongue Tied Management
  •       GIS/UCFB sports kit (value up to £150) from overall scholarship award

Applications for this scholarship are open to any female student based at our Wembley Campus in 2023-24.
