Open Days are one of the most crucial and useful tools that you have in deciding firstly whether or not higher education is for you and secondly which courses or institutions interest you the most.

If you are unsure as to whether or not a degree is right for you, booking yourself on an Open Day will give you the chance to meet academics, see facilities and often speak to current students about their experiences and studies. You should ideally go to an open day prepared to question and interrogate everybody you meet, you’ll find that all UCFB staff working at an Open Day are happy to take questions from you and advise you on whether or not a degree will help you with your ambitions.

Regular Open Days at both our Wembley and Etihad campuses give you a first-hand look at what it’s like to be a student at UCFB. The events are a chance to speak to UCFB staff, students and academics, to find out more about the degree programmes you are interested in and see for yourself the world-class facilities on offer. As well as this, depending on the time of year, you will also get the chance to tour either of the iconic stadiums.

A fantastic Open Day with inspirational speakers. All staff and students were informative and really gave a good impression that there were a lot of great opportunities within the sports industry. Any young adult considering a sports related degree should put UCFB on their list!

UCFB Taster Days

The UCFB Taster Day is exclusively for UCFB applicants and is designed to give you a full understanding of the unrivalled experience that studying at UCFB has to offer. You will hear from our best-in-class guest speakers and take part in an academic session specific to your chosen degree programme. As well as being able to look around the state-of-the-art facilities that you’ll use during your time with us, a number of academic and UCFB staff will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.

We will also have in-house experts ready to answer questions in the following areas:

• Admissions
• Student finance
• Scholarships and bursaries
• Accommodation
• Students’ Union; Athletic Union
• Learning support
• Student services and employability and careers in sport

UCFB Taster Days are available at both campuses and are exclusively available for UCFB applicants and typically run early on in the year (January – March.) If you have received an offer from UCFB you will receive an invitation (by email) to attend a Taster Day relevant to your chosen degree programme. Secure your place as soon as possible, as our Taster Days are always in high demand.

All offer holders will now be receiving their invitation for 2020 Taster Days.
