From the 2021/22 academic year, our MSc International Sport Management (Online) and MSc Football Business (Online) programmes will be delivered in three time zones for the Americas, Europe and Africa, and Australasia. Our MSc Football Communications & Digital Marketing (Online) programme will also be available for both the Americas and Europe and Africa.

When applying to study an online degree with GIS, you can choose to study in any of the available time zones to suit your schedule wherever you are in the world.

Live sessions

Synchronous, live sessions will be delivered in each of the time zones to provide students with the opportunity to interact with tutors and develop a deeper understanding of their subject. There will be three to six live sessions on each module to complement the asynchronous academic content which provides the greatest studying flexibility. These live sessions will be delivered in the early evening for the GMT/BST and AEST/AEDT time zones and the early afternoon for the EST/EDT time zone.

When applying to study an online degree with GIS, you can choose to study in any of the available time zones to suit your schedule wherever you are in the world. For added flexibility, students can also access recordings of these live sessions.

In addition to the live academic sessions for every module, online students in these regions will have convenient access to our support teams, including study support, pastoral support, IT support and library support.

Regular iconic stadium access

To further enhance the learning experience of our online programmes around the world, there will be various touchpoints throughout the year for all students, including guest speaker sessions, networking opportunities and in-person events in each region including our Global Sports Summits at our hubs in Miami, New York, Atlanta, Toronto and Melbourne.

All students are also invited to the regular activities at our UK campuses in London and Manchester.

Start dates

The MSc International Sport Management (Online), MSc Football Business (Online) and MSc Football Communications & Digital Marketing (Online) programmes start in September for the Europe and Africa, and Americas time zones. The MSc International Sport Management (Online) and MSc Football Business (Online) courses start in January for the Australasia time zone.
