UCFB media student Jack Bibb, who is on a placement on the media team at Coventry City, is looking forward to working at the Championship Play-Off Final this weekend.

Jack, a BA (Hons) Multimedia Sports Journalism student, has been a media assistant at the Sky Blues since the summer of his First Year, with the club being his local Football League side.

Now he is anticipating working at the grandest stage of them all, Wembley Stadium, where he has spent the last three years studying.

He said: “Coventry were looking for UCFB students to join the media team, and as I grew up in the area, I decided it would be the perfect fit for me to be able to commute between Wembley and Coventry when needed.

“I work on matchdays to publish match reports, interviews and various other club news.

“Some of my other responsibilities include handling the Instagram output from time to time, and also setting up other equipment to film the match.”

Coventry City play Luton Town this Saturday afternoon in the Championship Play-Off Final, to find out who will be playing in the Premier League next season.

Jack said that he is very excited about covering such a large-scale event before even finishing his university studies.

He added: “I can’t wait for this weekend. Many of my close friends support Coventry, so it’s been an honour to represent them.

“I’ve written many reports over my time with the club but to end my three years at UCFB and two years at Coventry City with a final at Wembley – my university campus – is something I never could’ve scripted.

“It’s been a rollercoaster of a season but the Play-Offs is an amazing way to cap it off. Coventry fans are unmatched. I’ve visited many grounds and the Sky Blue Army make it feel like a home game every game, and ramped it up to another level in the semi-finals.”
