Some of our Second Year students has organised an upcoming networking event to take place at our Wembley Campus later this month.

Naim Mejdoubi Maymouni came up with the idea of the ‘FootballMinds’ event, to help grow the network and number of potential career paths for current UCFB students.

FootballMinds will take place at Wembley Stadium, at Pitch View West, between 5.30pm and 8pm on the evening Wednesday, April 26.

The event aims to promote positive social change through the power of football, by uniting people from all corners of the football community, and also raising funds for good causes in the football world.

Naim, a BA (Hons) Football Business and Marketing student, said: “I shared my vision with my fellow UCFB students, who were eager to contribute their skills and expertise to make this event a reality.

“Together, we have meticulously planned, coordinated, and executed various aspects of the event – from securing speakers, and partnerships to designing promotional materials and managing logistics.”

People at the event, who attendees will be able to network with, include Godfrey K. Torto, a Premier League agent, and Alexander Dickens, the managing director of BlockSport Management.

There will also be insight and networking opportunities with industry professionals, coaches, agents, players and fans attending on the night, with also raffle prizes and fundraising opportunities for footballing causes.

The charity partners of FootballMinds include Islamic Relief and Bloomsbury Football. Naim added: “They align with our objectives in making a tangible difference in the lives of those in need through the power of football.”

He finished: “Attending this event is an excellent opportunity for UCFB students to expand their knowledge, grow their professional networks, and discover potential career paths within the football industry.

“By interacting with industry professionals and like-minded individuals, students can build connections that could lead to future collaborations, internships, or job opportunities.

“Attending the event is not only an enriching learning experience but also a chance for students to contribute to a meaningful cause and witness the positive impact football can have on society.

“Our collaborative efforts have resulted in an exceptional event that we are proud to present to the football community.”
