Earlier this week, GIS took part in Soccerex in Miami, showcasing our pioneering degree programmes to over 2,000 senior executives from football communities worldwide.

The event proved a huge success, with expanded programmes of industry insight, workshops, and networking opportunities for GIS. Participating in Soccerex for the first time, GIS were able to build and develop relationships with key partners and stakeholders across America.

We also hosted over 80 VIP guests at GIS Inter Miami in the lead up to the event, featuring talks from industry experts, including Inter Miami CF's Chief Business Officer, Xavier Asensi, and Director of Development for CONCACAF, Jason Roberts. Delegates were able to gain exclusive insights ahead of Soccerex, as well as explore Inter Miami’s iconic stadium.

Commenting on the success over the course of the two days, Catherine Garrido, GIS' Regional Director in North America, said: "Soccerex was a great success, giving us the exclusive chance to demonstrate the amazing work we do at GIS. As an institution, we were absolutely delighted to engage with our partners, promote our degree programmes and grow our community here in the US.”

Having recently launched GIS Inter Miami, the first permanent university campus in North America, Soccerex provided a unique opportunity to demonstrate the quality and breadth of our degree programmes, including the MSc Sports Directorship, the MSc Football Coaching and Analysis and the Elite Player Care in Soccer programme, which are available to study in Florida.

Our Inter Miami Campus is joined by global hubs at the Red Bull Arena, New York, and Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz stadium, providing students with exclusive access to these stadiums. With a range of in-person, online, and blended degree programmes, students can immerse themselves in the world of sport via these world-renowned venues and from the comfort of their own homes.
