UCFB Wembley to host Coaching Sessions for the London FA

UCFB and its Global Institute of Sport (GIS) are delighted to announce that our Wembley Campus will be the Coach Education Hub for the London FA.

Our facilities in Arch View House, just outside Wembley Stadium, will host eight coach education events across the 22/23 season, beginning 4^th October 2022 and ending 23^rd May 2023, with UCFB and GIS tutors set to deliver the development programme. These sessions are designed to aid the growth and development of the grassroots game, as UCFB academics share their unique knowledge and expertise about the football industry.

By playing our part in educating the next generation of football coaches, alongside upskilling current coaches, UCFB hope to support the growth of the game and the development of those within it.

The agreement stems from rich and ongoing partnerships we have with across the game, and it’s exciting to see this continue to develop.

Course Coordinator at The London FA, Neil Fowkes, added: “The London FA is proud to be in partnership with UCFB as a Coach Education Hub for London. Having relocated offices to Wembley Stadium and the amazing newly built facility at Arch View House, it is a unique platform for Coach Education and Coach Development to develop coaches’ knowledge and have access to an incredible variety of sessions, educators and insight to the Football Industry and the world of Football Coaching.

UCFB have extensive knowledge of the football landscape in London as current and former Coach Educators working within the grassroots game, visiting and delivering coach education and mentoring for nearly a decade. Working alongside the London FA in most capacities, provides a strong and comprehensive understanding of the clubs, leagues, coaches and players and having a great understanding and aligned ideal of how we both can work together to create what is needed to ensure all stakeholders have the access to skilled volunteers, resources and education to grow, improve and be able to participate in association football.
