UCFB is pleased to announce that experienced sports broadcaster Clive Tyldesley will be speaking to UCFB Wembley students next week.

Tyldesley, who has been ITV’s senior football commentator for more than 20 years, will speak to students as part of UCFB’s Executive Guest Speaker Series on Wednesday 26th February.

In a career that has spanned over 40 years, the 65-year-old has led ITV’s commentary teams at four FIFA World Cups, four UEFA European Championships, 17 UEFA Champions League finals and nine FA Cup finals.

Aside from his work with ITV, Tyldesley had a short four-year spell at the BBC from 1992 to 1996, where he provided commentaries at the 1994 FIFA World Cup and Euro 96, while he was also a regular contributor on Match of the Day.

In 1999, Tyldesley provided arguably his most iconic piece of commentary as the lead commentator of Manchester United’s dramatic Champions League final triumph over Bayern Munich.

Regarded as one of the most recognisable sports commentators of all time, Tyldesley’s career has also propelled him into the digital world. Since 2005, he has provided commentary on various FIFA and Pro Evolution Soccer video games.

For any UCFB students looking to forge a career within the sports media industry, this session is not to be missed.
