UCFB is delighted to announce that Georgina Lewis, The Football Association’s head of marketing, and football agent Paul Stretford will speak to UCFB students this week.

Former Microsoft digital chief Lewis, and Stretford – who counts Wayne Rooney as one of his clients – will appear at UCFB Wembley and UCFB Etihad Campus on Tuesday 27th February and Wednesday 28th February respectively.

Georgina Lewis

Operating out of Wembley Stadium, Lewis heads up the The FA’s marketing efforts to promote its work at home and abroad, from grassroots to the England national team.

Lewis has been at the governing body for a year since leaving tech-giants Microsoft as their head of digital. She spent 13 years at the company, working her way from marketing manager, to head of social and then her final role before moving to Wembley in 2017. The FA are one of the most talked about institutions in world sport, so Lewis’ insights into the industry and how it operates will not want to be missed.

Paul Stretford

Stretford is a football agent whose most famous client is Everton forward Wayne Rooney. His agency career began in the late 80s when he founded Proactive Sports Management, which was renamed Formation Group in 2004.

Before representing Rooney, Stretford negotiated Andrew Cole’s move from Newcastle United to Manchester United, and also represented former Liverpool and Aston Villa striker Stan Collymore. However, Stretford is known for his representation of Rooney and his multi-million-pound move from Everton to Manchester United in 2004 when he was just 18 years old. During Rooney’s 13 years at Old Trafford, Stretford negotiated a number of lucrative contracts for Rooney, during which time he also became England captain.

Georgina Lewis will appear at UCFB Wembley on Tuesday 27th February. Paul Stretford will be at UCFB Etihad Campus on Wednesday 28th February.
