UCFB students teamed up with Premier League title challengers Tottenham Hotspur in order to provide full media coverage of their Under 21s tie against Norwich City.
In an all-action evening, students were able to immerse themselves in the world of sport media and broadcasting, taking up the roles of Sky Sports presenters and camera crew as well as web and print media sport journalists. In a challenging environment with tight deadlines, the aspiring broadcasting professionals carried out interviews “as-live” on camera with eight different Tottenham players and the club’s Under 21s Manager and former England international Ugo Ehiogu.
UCFB will be working closely with Tottenham Hotspur to provide feedback on the initiative to students and players, who all gained invaluable media training from the exercise. This activity is part of the intensive real-life education that is provided at UCFB, with a keen focus on ensuring that students are well-equipped to handle the high octane world of sport media.
