Students and staff at UCFB Etihad Campus have been presented with a certificate of thanks after raising over £450 for Children in Need.

Across the campus in November, a number of events took place including: a bake sale, a spotty cake competition and football matches where positions were auctioned off to help raise the funds for the BBC’s flagship charity appeal. The certificate, presented this week, confirmed a brilliant total of £454 was raised.

Amy Platts, Head of Student Services at UCFB Etihad Campus, said: “This year, the Students’ Union wanted to mark Children in Need with a charity football match. Positions were auctioned off, with the highest bids accepted to play in those positions. Staff and students contributed to a bake sale, and there were various other competitions across the week. It was a very successful event, and we’re incredibly proud of what the students achieved.”
