Leading America-based youth football tournament organiser EDP Soccer has recruited another four UCFB graduates, taking their total intake over the last two years to an amazing eight UCFB alumni.

EDP Soccer supports football programmes in the United States, with player development acting as their primary focus. EDP Soccer has played a strong part in supporting the rapid growth of football in the States over the years, something that the successful UCFB graduates can be proud of being part of.

The latest UCFB graduates to join the EDP Soccer workforce are Ashton Allen, Dan Getliff, Faye Orme and Robynne Hill. The quartet graduated from UCFB courses, including BA (Hons) Football Business & Finance, BA (Hons) Football Business & Media and BA (Hons) Football Business & Marketing. They are set to start work this month, and can’t wait to get started.

UCFB alumnus Ashton Allen reflected on the good news:

“Once I received a phone call with the good news I couldn’t quite believe it. It’s such a strange but exciting feeling knowing I’ll be moving to the United States. The application process was very well organised and swift from the outset and throughout, which made things a lot easier. I have to thank UCFB for this opportunity because without them I would not be in this position. I have already started counting down the days until I move to New Jersey and start my new role within EDP Soccer.”

The latest intake once again highlights the strong relationship between EDP Soccer and UCFB, and is a credit to the existing UCFB graduates currently employed by the organisation who are taking great strides in impressing with their skill sets, developed and fine-tuned on the Complementary Curriculum TM at UCFB. The UCFB programme is designed to prepare students for the dynamic sport industry and ensure that they stand out to potential employers upon graduation.

Having been one of the key individuals at EDP Soccer involved in the latest round of recruitment, another UCFB alumnus, Tim Newton, said:

“I would like to thank everyone at UCFB for everything they have done over the last couple of months, and we look forward to working with you again next time around!”
