A group of seven innovative UCFB Sports Business & Coaching students have signed up a host of star names for The Sporting Mind, an event they have created as part of their studies on the subject of mental health in sport.

The idea behind the event is to inform, influence and educate people on mental health and the stigma it possesses, specifically in the world of sport. The main objective is to provide a learning experience whilst raising money for their chosen charity, MIND.

The event will be held at UCFB Burnley within Turf Moor on Friday 22nd April from 4pm until 5.30pm, with tickets priced at £8 for adults and £5 for students.

The line-up of special guests includes high profile Burnley FC fan and former UK Government Director of Communications & Strategy, Alastair Campbell; ex-Claret and former Chairman of the Professional Footballers’ Association, Clarke Carlisle, who will be the host; former Manchester City player and Burnley physio, Paul Lake; former Manchester United and Exeter professional footballer, Alan Tonge; and Burnley FC sport psychologist, Jen Lace.
