UCFB is delighted to reveal that Burnley campus students and staff will be granted the opportunity to play on the hallowed turf at Turf Moor – home of the newly promoted Burnley FC.

The stadium, that this has season played host to the Football League Championship winners and next year will host Premier League sides, will be open to students from 10am-4pm on Friday 13th May.

A number of different games are proposed, and playing entrants are asked to pay a £5 entrance fee, with money going towards the Danny Ings Sports Disability Project.

Ings, of course, was a vital part of the Burnley team that gained promotion to the Premier League in 2014, before going on to join Liverpool in 2015.

The event will be open to all UCFB students and staff to come and spectate and enjoy the day from the stands. There will be a BBQ (1pm onwards, £2 pounds) and refreshments available at the UCFB reception.

Students who wish to take part in the pitch day need to go to Student Services.

On the day there will also be a raffle for the chance to win a Burnley shirt signed by the Championship winning side.
