Stop the press… UCFB and one of its students has gained further international recognition in one of Austria’s leading newspapers.
As UCFB has previously reported (click here to read the News Article), first year BA (Hons) International Football Business student Thomas Freismuth is currently in Milan working for UEFA ahead of the Champions League final as part of a work placement with fellow student Mackenzie Cadman.
His success in securing the placement has been picked up by Kronen Zeitung, one of the biggest selling papers in his home country.
Thomas, along with Mackenzie, both successfully came through an intense interview process with UEFA officials ahead of the match between Real Madrid and city rivals Atletico.
In the article, Thomas speaks of his experience so far as a student at the UCFB Wembley campus, and his dream of being the first Austrian manager in the Premier League.
His appearance in Kronen Zeitung came the day after Austria’s presidential elections, notoriously a high circulation point for newspapers.

UCFB was also recently featured in The Economist, leading an article on the impact of the private higher education sector.
In the article UCFB is mentioned as one of the leaders in positive innovation in the sector, highlighting that 91 percent of UCFB cohorts in its first two years found employment or further education within six months of graduating.

Finally, the launch of UCFB’s NCTJ Diploma in Journalism has made its way onto the homepage of one of the leading newspaper industry websites, Hold the Front Page.
The 20-week course, which launches in September at the iconic UCFB Wembley, offers the flagship qualification which employers in the news industry demand and respect.
In the article, Hold the Front Page highlighted some of the modules on the course, as well as comments from incoming course leader Roz McKenzie.
