UCFB’s very own George Stockton is currently leading the funding drive to secure a bright future for Great Britain Deaf Football in his role as a Voluntary Fundraising Officer. Working alongside fellow Great Britain Deaf Football members including players from the men’s, women’s, under 21’s and veterans’ teams, George is finding ways to raise the funds for all teams to train and participate in international competition such as the European Championships, World Cup and Deaflympics.

Former Manchester United and current Fulham Deaf Football Player, George is currently aiming to raise funds for the Great Britain men’s and women’s teams to participate in the 2016 Deaf World Cup in Italy this summer. This has included organising charity bucket collections at football clubs, hosting sponsored events, selling wrist bands, applying for grants, liaising with potential donors and supporting players with their own fundraising ideas.
