Sir Geoff, who remains the only man to score a hat-trick in a World Cup final, leads a number of exciting guest speakers and panels for this year’s event which for the first time will take place virtually on Wednesday 3rd March.

Hosted by BBC Sport’s Mark Clemmit, other talks throughout the day will include a ‘Meet the Ref’ session where Premier League referee Kevin Friend will guide students through the decision making process of a number of controversial moments in recent fixtures. Holly Murdoch, general manager at St George’s Park, will also lead a session giving an insight into the HQ of the England national teams.

We will also be joined by prominent figures in the game to discuss the Black Lives Matter campaign and diversity in the sports industry.

These include Watford’s Amy O’Connor, Wolves’ Sunny Dhillon, Talksport’s Mya Graham and Sheffield United’s Jake Rodgers.

The event will run from 9am-4.30pm on Wednesday 3rd March, and is open for all UCFB third year students, UCFB alumni and GIS on-campus and online students.

More information will be announced throughout the coming weeks so keep an eye on our social media channels.
