Students at UCFB Wembley are often given the unrivalled opportunity to gain valuable work experience at The Football Association during their time studying at Wembley Stadium.

Finn Savage, a second year BA (Hons) Sports Business & Sports Broadcasting student, is the latest from UCFB to be offered a prestigious intern role at The FA. Finn will be part of the video team – a role sure to help his ambitions of being a media and broadcasting professional in the football and sport industry.

Like many roles UCFB students land, Finn’s work placement came about thanks to the UCFB Employability & Enrichment team, whose close ties to the industry enable students to undertake vital work experience.

After sharpening up his CV, drafting a cover letter and passing an interview with FA staff, Finn was offered the exciting role. Reacting, he said: What I hope to achieve through this internship is first-hand experience in the industry which I want to work in once I leave UCFB. Also it is a brilliant thing to put on my CV.”

During his time at UCFB Finn has also undertaken work experience opportunities at Wembley FC and taken part in a media day at Tottenham Hotspur.

Finn added: “My hopes for the future are to work in a position very much like this one at The FA, whether that be at a football club, The FA itself or even a TV company like Sky Sports, making and producing video content for fans of the sport to watch and enjoy.”
