UCFB is delighted to reveal that Wembley campus students, staff and UCFB alumni will be granted an opportunity that very few professional footballers enjoy in their careers, the chance to play on the hallowed turf at Wembley Stadium on Thursday 19th November.

The stadium that has hosted Champions League Finals, FA Cup Finals and England Internationals will now be the venue for a series of UCFB matches over the course of 90 minutes, from 9.30am.

Students will enjoy the unique chance to soak up the atmosphere in the England team changing rooms, before following in the footsteps of the world’s greatest footballers in walking out of the players’ tunnel onto the famous pitch. The UCFB matches will culminate in a trophy presentation from the historic Royal Box with UCFB’s Chief Executive, Philip Wilson, followed by post-game player interviews in the official media mixed zone.

Whilst priority to play on the pitch will go to committed members of UCFB Wembley’s football or IMS football teams, further students are encouraged to enter a special social media competition in order to win one of four additional places up for grabs on the pitch.

Students will simply need to ensure they are following @ucfbuk on Twitter or Instagram, posting a photo of their single favourite UCFB moment to date with the hashtag #UCFBpitchday. The photos will be judged on two criteria: quality of photo and amount of ‘likes’.

Any students not playing on the day will be able to come and support their friends, classmates and lecturers with prime seats pitchside throughout.

The UCFB Wembley Pitch Day is due to be a momentous occasion for all involved and a celebration of the unparalleled learning environment that UCFB provides… Watch the teaser video below for a taste of what’s in store.
